Description :
The Taste of Newport serves up culinary masterpieces from nearly 35 of Newport Beach's finest Restaurants, as well as 15 premium wineries from throughout California, ice cold brews and delicious cocktails. The restaurants are truly spectacular, offering everything from barbeque seared ahi and tiramisu to prime rib and crème brulee. Everyone is sure to find something pleasing to the palette-and a new restaurant to try after the Taste.
September 2010 – The annual unveiling of the new Fleming’s 100™, the award-winning list of 100 wines by the glass at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, coincides with the restaurant company’s award of “Best California Wine List” in the category of restaurants with ten or more locations by the California Restaurant Association and the Wine Institute of California. Fittingly, Fleming’s debut of the new 2010/2011 list during Fleming’s September “Month of Discovery” begins today, with the first of “Opening Nights” where guests will have the opportunity to sample each of the Fleming’s 100. The month-long celebration which includes a Caymus interactive wine dinner, will be held at locations in Newport Beach, El Segundo, Downtown LA, Woodland Hills, Rancho Cucamonga and Rancho Mirage.
The New Fleming’s 100 “Opening Nights” every Thursday (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th) in September – An unprecedented series of wine tastings featuring all 100 selections provides guests with a rare opportunity to sniff, swirl, sip and spit like an international wine expert, for a charge of $25 per person. Each Opening Night will feature 20 wines from the Fleming’s 100™. The first four tastings will be wine selections available at every Fleming’s nationwide. The final tasting will feature selections by each Fleming’s local Wine Manager and Operating Partner. (Please visit www.FlemingsSteakhouse.com for wine selections to be served on each Opening Night.)
I will definitely be attending all the events above! Who can say no to Lobster, Taste of Newport, and Steaks + Wines? Count me in!
There is also one more event happening in OC that I will not be attending but will mention for anyone interested.
