What do you do after you scarfed down 12-15 choco-pies and are feeling super ill? Me, I keep eating to get that horrid taste out! =D Burumun and I were going to meet for dinner but she was stuck in traffic so first I went to Four Leaf again for some crêpes. As I was walking there I noticed the sign for Happy Hour at Pinkberry again! How could I say no? I have been meaning to come back to enjoy the deal for almost a month now and it was 20 minutes away from 5 PM. Right around 5 PM the place was crowded but the guys behind the counter were very courteous and friendly. I asked for extra watermelon puree on my watermelon yogurt. Sure it was half off, but I do think they skimp a lot on how much yogurt they give you and make it look bigger. Still, I was satisfied and ate it happily. There were lil chunks of watermelon ice inside. Too bad the deal ended the next day! I hope they still have the flavor around though. =D

I was recently up in Little Tokyo and PK had a craving. Unfortunately we missed Happy Hour! Even Pinkberry now has Happy Hour. From 5-7PM for the summer they are offering 1/2 off for the Watermelon yogurt. We went in and asked to sample the watermelon yogurt. So the yogurt is lightly hinted with watermelon and they top the yogurt off with blended watermelon juice. Yum! Don't know if it's because it has been hot these days or I was starting to get hungry... but it really hit the spot! I had to run back to the car because of the meter so I wasn't able to pick up a cup before I left. =*( I now have an enormous craving and desire to get a cup! Hopefully the Pinkberry nearby has the same deal and tastes just as good. Pray for me! If you plan to check out this great deal, I'd recommend calling just in case. O=D

So I finally went to the Irvine Spectrum for some delicious Pinkberry. Alas, I don't think the one in OC was anything like the ones in LA! The exterior decor was definitely different from the traditional Pinkberry's because the building itself was this horrid salmon color. I like the original glass design but I guess that can't be helped because the exterior design was decided by Spectrum. I got my favorite the Large Original with Mochi, rice cakes. The cool thing that I noticed they had there was the Green Tea Powder, which I haven't seen at all the other locations. So I dabbled some on to add a kick. I feel that their yogurt was not very flavorful. It lacks the tart and sweetness that I get in LA. The consistency was fine, but I don't think I'd be back. Even the ones I had in New York were better than this location. It was just lacking too much for my tastebuds. If you have never had Pinkberry before, this location would definitely not be a good representation!

I was up in LA today, near Korea Town, so I had to stop by for a big cup of yogurt. At first I'd only get the regular size, but now as I am hooked on the goods I need a greater dosage to satisfy me! Now I only get the Large Original with Mochi. Some times I just get the yogurt, depending on my mood. If you have never had the mochi be sure to get it, it's delicious and chewy. What I love about their yogurt is that it's always tart, sweet, and never leaves you feeling weighed down.
My pal got a Small Green Tea yogurt with Blueberries. I have had their green tea and it's good, but I just love the original. The green tea flavor is subtle and not as tart nor sweet as the original. Word to the wise, AVOID the new coffee flavor! I had a free sample and I almost threw up! My friends and I tried it and immediately threw it into the trash. Doesn't taste anything like coffee, just sour and rancid.I would have took pics of the store front, but the K-Town store has a security guard inside whom makes sure no one takes pictures. I have been to Pinkberry in New York and all over LA, they are all about the same decor. Simple, clean, plastic chairs, and white tables. This store always has a line and a lot of tables for people to sit and chat. This yogurt craze is really getting out of hand as there are Yogurtland, Red Mango, Kiwiberri, Snowberry, and MORE! I have been to a bunch already, but I still love the simplicity and flavor of Pinkberry!
